***CHA UPDATE***

Hi there everyone

Well the last day of CHA has past and everyone has packed up and gone.

Me, I am off to shop at Walmart and Michaels tomorrow... Whoppeeeee!!!

The last few days were amazing and such a priviledge to see all the action, new products, giveaways and witness amazing designers in action. Here's Donna Downey at the Prima stand where I was lucky enough to take a class.

This was her project for us to do. Canvas, inks, flowers..yummy!

Inside page was awesome using distress inks, water and stamps

Cannot wait to get back and show you all the wonderful things I have learnt.

Here are a few more photos for you all to drool over.  Check Tim... got a hug from him today (swoon) but the picture WAS NOT taken by the a very helpful lady so I was SOOOO disappointed - nothing to prove he is my new best friend... but I did get a set of embossing dies signed by the man himself so I reckon that will have to be auctioned off for charity when I return...

***CHA UPDATE***

Hi there everyone

WHOA - Am I excited....!!!

 Guess who I saw just a few feet away today.....Tim Holtz...... Of course, he ignored me....but HEY....It was AWESOME anyway...!!!!!  However, the rest of the day was as good as it started with some great classes, including one with Claudine Hellmuth who just LOVES to make lots of mess with paint and new stamps...Watch this space...Also made some VERY cool cards for Christmas!!

Thursday the 29th Class update

I have created another example that you can create at the class.  This is for a girl page and uses Echo Park paper which can easily be adapted with other papers as well.  There are other masks available as well.

Here is the layout:



A reminder of the class  - Thursday 29^th July morning class  10am – noon

Have fun using templates to ink through onto paper to create many different backgrounds to suit your photos.



Please bring your basic kit ie scissors, craft knife, adhesives, trimmer and your preferred fine cutting tool.  The cost is $15 for the class plus some product.

Cuttlebug Mini Book Class with Wendy

Lanterns by Sarah Groen

This month I have had these gorgeous bright, happy, summery papers from Echo Park Paper Company to play with, as soon as I opened the  box I fell in love with them.

If you love October Afternoon, Fancy Pants Designs  and Sassafrass Lass then these are definitely for you.



The first LO that I did showcases a photo that I took of my girls standing on a floodlight at the Chinese Lantern festival, I made a patchwork of soft, white material for the background to give the LO an almost 'dreamlike' quality.

This is really easy to do. Just tear or cut 12x1" strips of white cotton material and sew them to a white cardstock base longways and then sew widthways across all of the strips at approx 1.5" intervals to make a patchwork like background.

I cut a frame from the pinwheel designed paper and adhered it over the material base to hide the ragged edges, I printed the photo 5x7 and trimmed it a little.

Then I used various strips of patterned paper, flowers and chipboard elements to complete the design, because i didn't have the patience to wait for paint to dry I inked my chipboard circle with Tim Holtz distress ink then covered it with a layer of dimensional magic for that cool glossy effect. The little Chinese character in the centre of one of my flowers was from my daughters $2 shop stamp set.

Past Memories Layout by Adrienne

Adrienne has been busy creating this gorgeous  vintage layout using the lovely new papers from G.C.D Studios.

The lovely soft blues and browns showcase her photos perfectly and add a sophisticated look to her layout.

The Ella Blue Collection incorporates  a range of floral, stripe and frame papers with hints of flock and laquer on the paper.
