Prima With Michelle

Hi everyone ... it's Michelle [aka Mrs Frizz] logging on for the very first time for Scottie Crafts on their blog and in Word Press and I have three layouts to share with you.

I’ve used a Martha Stewart punch, coral rose chalk ink pad and pinecone ink and a little distressing ... Tim Holtz alterations dies which I have pinecone inked and coral rose inked a little and then I have lightly sanded and then inked again.  I've sewn on the wee padlock and added a few feathers and brads  ... I’ve also added MLS alpha stickers  and then I lightly inked over the top of them, so they weren’t quite so yellow-ish.

This layout has a whole lot of inking and distressing going on and a patch work effect with the papers.  I added a little paint to the edges of some of the flowers and it turned out to be just the right shade, the same as the greenish colour on the patterned paper ... must have been the yellow colour of the flowers that made it like that – it sure wasn’t intentional - lol.  I added a little tulle underneath the flowers, a little embroidery thread on the buttons on the flowers and a little more bling and voila.

My final layout – I’ve used a trusty old plate and cut out my circle ... my Martha Stewart punch came out again and I cut strips and punched along the edge ... I’ve then glue dotted around the underneath of my circle and nicked it periodically to put a semi pleat in it ... I've then inked and distressed the edge.

I’ve grabbed a piece of magic mesh and painted over the top with Tim Holtz crackle paint, once dry I lifted the mesh and used it underneath as another layer at the top.  I’ve also inked and recycled some of the Prima packaging to add another layer under my photo.

Popped on a couple of feathers [like my feathers atm], handmade a wee paper rose and glue dotted that on another flower and then I’ve used a mixture of the pink Prima [Athena] flowers from the kit with some of my blue flowers of the same variety to tie in the blue of the paint... I’ve also used thin strips of paper and curled them using my paper piercer and then lightly added a little paint on the top and then some stickles... Once again I opted for the MLS stickers with a light coating of coral rose ink over the top.

So there you have it ... my first layouts for the team at Scottie Crafts.  Thank you ladies.

And I would just like to say a huge thanks to Ann for helping me with my post.  Technology !!!!!

So that's it from me.

Wrap up warm and stay dry.

Happy creating,

Michelle
