Country Garden by Bo Bunny

This month I had the pleasure of designing with these beautiful Bo Bunny ' Country Garden' papers and embellishments. The bright oranges, yellows and blues are perfect for scrapping those summer photos that have accumulated over the last months! The papers are great for fussy cutting too - most of the butterflies on my pages are cut from the patterned papers.

My first LO "Shared memories" is based on the current sketch at the on-line challenge blog 'Once Upon a Sketch'. I used a Crafters Workshop mask to spray my background design. I layered lots of different papers and added some gorgeous 'Prima' flowers and bling. I handmade the hessian flower using my Tim Holtz 'Tattered florals' die and spray adhesive to prevent the edges of the flower from fraying too much.

For my second page I really wanted to use the vibrant orange paper but it didn't match the pink that my girls were wearing in these photos. So I changed my photos to black and white. I used Studio Calico wooden butterflies as masks before spraying over my background cardstock with white Mr Hueys 'Calico white' spray ink. I framed my main photo with a patterned paper circle and added clusters of elements around the circle. I printed my journaling and cut it into strips to adhere to the page.

My final page used up all the Bo Bunny scraps that I had left over!!! I didn't have enough for a background sheet so I used this grey striped paper from the 'Echo Park' Dancer mini-kit which happened to co-ordinate perfectly with both my photo and the Bo bunny papers. I sprayed the paper with orange Adirondack ink and used bubble wrap to add some white paint. I used up my scraps to layer under my photos and added more 'Prima' flowers and die-cut leaves to make a big cluster grounding my photos. The butterflies are cut from my left over scraps of paper.

All the materials for my projects can be found at Scottie Crafts. Do go visit the girls there and take a look at all the beautiful new products that they have in their sparkling new store :)
