Train With Sizzix quilting dies

For the carriages I created the box from a piece of black card cut at 7 1/2" by 8 1/2" and scored at 2 1/2" on all sides, then formed as above. I linked the carriages with 2 links of chain. Added pearls to the centre of the wheels.


The photos below show making the box for the carriages. You make the box for the engine the same way but the sides are lower so that it does not stand above the train engine

Glue together to form the box.

Think it would be really cute cut from Christmas DCWV paper and made into an advent calender by using the sizzix dies to cut 1-24 for the carriages and putting a little treat in each one
