Altered Paperbag and Card

Hi everyone, Well it's that time of the week again and I'm here to share with you all my Design Team project.  This months kit was full of Kaisercraft goodies....when Bev said to me "Kimi - think pink"  boy was she right. Kaisercraft's Tea Party collection is not only pink, but is just that little bit shabby too.  My first project to come to you all today is very pink, but I do believe it is a little bit shabby too.  I guess you could say this is a two in one kind of project as I altered a white paper bag into an envelope of sorts and I think it houses my card nicely.

I began by burnishing all the creases and folding the bottom of the bag over to make a little pocket. After which I grabbed some double sided tape and adhered the bottom of the bag.  To create both the paperbag "envelope" and card I have used Kaisercraft's 6 1/2" Tea Party Paper Pad and some gorgeous Prima flowers - Mini Sachet Rose

I have layered two of the papers to create a mat or cover for the paper bag.
I then folded the flap over and adhered the flap down with a small bead of wet glue running down either side.  This created the pocket for me to tuck a corner of the tag into.

I added one of crocheted flowers, doily and one of those lovely Prima flowers to accent the centre of my flower.  I cut one of the tags from the paper pad and matted it on some of the pink paper also from the paper pad.  I topped the tag with a little tab pop out that can be found in the back of the paper pad and some pink gingham ribbon from my stash.

With some of the papers leftover from the front of the bag/envelope I matted the back of the bag and added two of the diecuts from the Collectibles that also came in my kit.

With the paper bag envelope all finished, I then set to work on creating the card to go inside.

My card base measures 4 3/4"x 9" and is cut from Bazill Basics Paper - White.
I selected a co-ordinating design from the paper pack
inked up one of the doilies with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet and teamed it with a smaller doily
and more of the gorgeous diecuts from the Collectibles. The sentiment is stamped from Corture Creations - Sparkling Spring Collection and layered up on some leftovers.

To finish off I have added a seam binding bow; another diecut from the collectibles and few more Roses from Prima.

Thanks for joining me...
hope you all have a fabulously crafty weekend.....
