Frame It with Spellbinders Lacy Hearts

This is my last post sharing ideas for using the very cool Spellbinders Lacy Hearts Die set, so I have 2 projects to share!

First up I have a frame with a wee 6"x6" layout.

To make the wee layout:
Cut a piece of cardstock to about 7x7 and layer edge die cuts, punched border strips, ripped strips and laces (dye with TH Distress Stains or Inks or other sprays) etc. .

To soften and give a more shabby chic feel, I sprayed with Dylusions White Linen and wiped across with a paper towel, then sprayed with Perfect Pearls Mist - Interference Red to give a pink shimmer.

Cut to 6x6".
Cut a photo with one of the Lacy Heart dies. I then matted mine with a lace doily, a Spellbinders scallop circle die and some muslin.
Embellish with some Prima flowers, pearl sprays etc.

To decorate the frame:
Paint with Gesso.
Using One of the Spellbinders Lacy Hearts combos, diecut 3 hearts and then cut them in half.

Paint over the whole frame with a liberal amount of TH Crackle Paint, Tattered Rose. Dry
Then Spray with Perfect Pearls Mist, Turquoise and Perfect Pearls Mist, Interference Red.

Add more pattern and texture with a mask and a Gel medium ( Claudine Hellmuth Studio Gloss multi-medium works well).
When it is clear and touch dry, brush over with matching Perfect Pearl powders.

And My second project:
A Baby card (for a very special little one who is now overdue and making Nana wait!!)

The little heart on the buggy is the top of the key die that is part of the Lacy die set.
The pretty flowers are Petaloo Hydrangeas. There is a great selection of these at Scotties, Here

The frame I used is part of a set of 2 (one fitting a 12 x12" layout and the other, this 6x6 ) and can be found Here.
