Utterly Shabby Chic by Sue Butler.

Hi everyone, today I thought I would show you how to make a card in the Shabby Chic style. I know that this will not suit the populace, but here at Scotties we are totally about variety, and as I am rather partial to this genre, I thought I would show you what a bit of lace can do to a card, and perhaps convert some of you to give this a try.

I have been working with the Kaisercraft St Nicholas Collection. and this Vintage Santa is just perfect for this genre.

Two backgrounds -Gold embossed sheet music, distressing the edges and adding stitching,
I chose a complementary 2nd Bg and decorated a sentiment, then it was a case of adding the various laces and trims.
.

I feel you can add anything you wish to this type of card and it will hold it's own, as long as you keep good composition you cannot go wrong, the tactile quality is to die for!
I know I am effusing to the point of ridiculousness, but I just love this genre and wanted to share some of it with you.

Products used from Scotties.
Have a great week.
Smiles:)
