3D Star - by Kimi

Hey everyone so as you can see I have my kit for October and it is CHRISTMAS!!  I love these papers.  This is Kaisercrafts Gingerbread Collection and the papers have a soft vintage feel.  There are some really fun prints and I can't wait to create some more with them.   This week I have used my e-cutter again and a digital file to create this 3D star.
I have used the Chocolate card stock that came in my kit as the star base.
I then cut the top layer pieces or triangles from pages in the Gingerbread 6 1/2"  x 6 1/2" paper pad

I loved how the chocolate card stock gave the star a rusty look.  I wanted to keep this rustic country theme going so I decorated the star with some Red gingham that I had dyed using some Tim Holtz Tea Dye re-inker.
I used some more twine twists made from the Docrafts Papermania brown string; strips of natural hessian; a mulberry paper gardenia inked with Tim Holtz Aged Mahogany and two rusty bells from my quilting stash.

This is the reverse of the star.  I just love how dimensional this star is and I love LOVE love it's rustic charm.  Thanks for sharing some of your Saturday with me.... Hope you all have a crafty weekend.
