A non-traditional Christmas card by Sue Butler

Merry Christmas Everyone,
A Christmas card to share, from the Kaisercraft 'Key to my Heart' collection, and I will show you how versatile these papers are, on first observation you will think they are suited for love and romance, but with some clever design you can work them for different occasions; as I have done here.

My patterned backgrounds are two different papers;
# First cut a square then cut again on the diagonal,
# Zig-zag machine stitch to hide the joins.
# Dry emboss to create texture.
# Applied Distress inks to create flow and balance.

Next step is to add the elements:
Diecut a frame for the image and mount onto a strip of corresponding paper and pretty lace.

 To the top circle I applied a small amount of distress paint, as I love texture..... for me there is never enough!

Next week I will show you another design using the same image!
Smiles:)
Sue
