There are going to be not one but TWO birthday Challenges this month to share the celebration of Scottie Crafts first birthday. Here we go with the first challenge - second challenge will be posted soon .
I've got a wee challenge for you ladies - are you ready??? It's an ingredients challenge for you, so get ready to dig deep and search in amongst your stash for the following: Doily Tags Flowers Bling Leaves Something recycled Ink Stickers - yep, stickers ladies Punches, yes, your punches are going to have to have a workout as well I am a shocker for using only white cardstock as a base for a layout, so I'm challenging you to use something else as a base and me ... well I used Kraft cardstock So there you are ... you can do with those ingredients what you will. Then link your layout using Mr Linky in the sidebar or email Scottie Crafts at customerservice@scottiecrafts.co.nz if you don't have an online gallery or blog before midnight the 31st of May. Here's my layout.
My layout, well you can see the doily and the tags, you can definitely see a range of Prima flowers, add a little bling, pop on a few leaves. My something recycled, well that would be a piece of corrugated cardboard from a box that the new deep fryer came in and then, what you can't see properly is actually a circle of brown paper that came from the box as well, which has been folded in half and re-covered, a little distressing ink where I have used a Prima mask [love them and this one in particular is appearing on more layouts than not], stickers, well there are a couple of them, the scalloped edge and the sticker itself with the poem - Bo Bunny range and you can see that I have used my Martha Stewart lace doily punch. So there you have it girls ... And to top it all off, a birthday layout - you can't go wrong with a birthday cake and nice a glass of bubbly. So happy first birthday to my friends at Scottie Crafts. It's been a whirl wind year ... enjoy the coming year and crafty and creative challenges ahead. Birthday hugs Michelle [aka Mrs Frizz]
