Benji loved Disneyland, but he did get a little frustrated that he didn't
make the height limit for a lot of the rides. He especially wanted to
ride the new 'Cars' race track at California Adventure Park but he was
no where near big enough (luckily he just made the Mater trucks).
On this day he had been queueing with Sophie to 'meet' princesses all
morning. Now don't get me wrong he really loved meeting the characters
at Disney, but 8 princesses in one morning was just too much for a guy
to take. Here we are in the line for 'Rapunzel' and Benji had really had
enough!! To make matters worse he was hot and it was nap time.
My products are all from Scottie Crafts. The paper is part of the
Kaisercraft 'Attitude' collection (perfect for my theme I thought lol). I
used
two masks to distress my background. First I used texture paste
over a 'chicken wire' mask and when that was dry I sprayed brown ink
over a 'brick' mask. I dry brushed white gesso over it all to blend all
the elements together.
I based my page on the current sketch at
Lets Get Sketchy. I love the
combination of squares and circles. I couldn't resist adding a bit of
whimsy to my page by making my large circle into a 'ferris' wheel (I
used Baker's twine for the posts).
I added some strip journaling and my title then recounted the story in full on a tag and tucked it behind my photo.
Oh and I should mention that after a sleep and a swim in the hotel pool little Benji was his usual happy self again :)))
